An ocean coast illuminated by plankton
Bioluminescent plankton are tiny marine organisms that produce light through chemical reactions within their bodies known as bioluminescence. This light is generated by the interaction of specific enzymes in a process called chemiluminescence, resulting in a bluish glow.
Bioluminescence in these organisms serves as a defense mechanism startling predators with a quick flash of light. But, apart from that, it also creates stunningly beautiful views of ocean coasts at night attracting tourists all over the world.
It definitely has its charm and a little magic touch.
