The giant halibut is one of the largest flatfish in the world, reaching lengths of up to 4.5 meters and weighing more than 300 kilos. It lives in cold waters of the North Atlantic and North Pacific at great depths, usually near the seabed. This fish is a master of camouflage, using its asymmetrical body and ability to change the color of its skin to blend in with its surroundings. Both of its eyes are on the right side of its head, which allows it to rest on the ocean floor while watching for prey.
